Retelit recognised by UNHCR in the "Welcome. Working for Refugee Integration" programme
The recognition comes thanks to the initiative launched in 2023 with Sistech, supporting the professional integration of refugee women in the tech sector.
Retelit is among the companies recognised by UNHCR as part of the eighth edition of "Welcome. Working for Refugee Integration", the programme through which UNHCR Italy fosters the integration of refugees into the labour market by promoting the broadest possible involvement of the private sector, in collaboration with institutions and civil society organisations, thereby addressing all the players in the world of work.
The recognition awarded to Retelit stems from the project launched in 2023 with Sistech, the association that supports refugee women on their path into the world of work in the technology field.
The aim is to turn talent into concrete employment: through re-skilling and mentoring programmes, Retelit has made its expertise, people and infrastructure available to open up real career opportunities in the digital sector for the participants and to support their stable entry into the labour market.
Since the initiative was launched in 2017, "Welcome" has helped activate more than 69,000 professional pathways for refugees, over 18,600 of them in 2025 alone. In this edition, 230 companies have been recognised for promoting workplace inclusion, confirming a structural shift in Italian businesses' attention to the value of refugees' skills and talents.
The UNHCR award acknowledges the project Retelit has developed together with Sistech and confirms the company's commitment to diversity, inclusion and social responsibility — areas integrated into its corporate strategy and into the company's development model.
