Retelit invests in FWA radio connections: acquired national operator MavianMax
Retelit strengthens its network and enriches its offering with ultra-low latency Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) connections for businesses and operators, delivering a premium B2B service even where fiber is hard to reach.
Retelit, a leading Italian telecommunications and digital services provider focused on B2B, announces the acquisition of 100% of MavianMax, the national operator most specialized in ultra-low latency FWA radio technologies (also known as “mixed fiber-radio”), capable of delivering high-capacity connections even in extreme geographical areas such as remote islands or offshore platforms.
This move represents another strategic step in Retelit’s consolidation and evolution process, reinforcing its role as an innovation enabler for enterprises, public administrations, telco and OTT operators. It enhances its portfolio with FWA radio connectivity solutions that match fiber-optic performance—reliable, fast, and tailored for the Wholesale and B2B markets.
An offering capable of meeting the needs of the most critical and sensitive sectors, where data exchange speed is vital, such as telemedicine for remote patient monitoring or clinical exams, financial transactions, or real-time drone control.
MavianMax solutions represent the top tier of FWA radio technology, standing out for their ability to be installed in challenging areas, speeds of up to 10 Gbps, and guaranteed minimal latency for ultra-fast data transmission.

Retelit, which already builds private enterprise networks across Italy, will now be able to provide high-capacity FWA radio connections in record time, offering companies a valid alternative to fiber. With this acquisition, Retelit also strengthens its network infrastructure—already deeply rooted along Italy’s main road backbones—by integrating over 500 access points and covering 98% of industrial sites, creating an even more robust and widespread connectivity ecosystem.
