Retelit and Microsoft Italy bring sovereign cloud to the asset management sector with Azure Local: Arca Fondi SGR accelerates digital innovation leveraging a new Hybrid Cloud infrastructure.

Retelit, a leading operator in Telco & ICT services for the B2B market, announces a new project with Microsoft Italy: the creation of a new Hybrid Cloud infrastructure based on Microsoft Azure Local, combining high performance, security, and full sovereignty over financial data. The project introduces an advanced infrastructural model to the financial sector, designed to meet increasing needs for reliability, regulatory compliance, and data control.

The new architecture, developed primarily to enhance the digital services of Arca Fondi SGR, one of the main independent players in the Italian asset management sector, is designed to integrate the elasticity of cloud computing with local infrastructure governance, creating a solid and resilient environment for mission-critical applications.

The platform is hosted within Retelit’s Tier IV and AI-ready Data Center in Settimo Milanese, ensuring data localization on national territory and full control over information assets. This approach structurally addresses sovereignty, security, and operational continuity requirements demanded by the asset management sector.

Thanks to this Hybrid Cloud infrastructure, Arca Fondi SGR can enable new artificial intelligence and advanced analytics scenarios, improving application performance and significantly reducing latency. Data processing occurs closer to its point of use, enabling faster processes, timelier decisions, and greater operational efficiency.
