05 July 2017News & Events
Putting together the subsea experts community, Subsea Connect 2017 is the only global event that will address both business and technical aspects of the submarine cable market.
Using two streams of conference topics to identify new opportunities and challenges for the entire ecosystem, over two days, Subsea Connect will offer audiences both strategic and technical analysis and case studies.
Taking place in one of the biggest subsea cables and global Internet transit pathways, the event will offer global perspectives and the very latest announcements from the submarine cable industry.
Federico Protto, CEO of Retelit, will attend as a guest speaker the panel discussion dedicated to the subsea connections in the Mediterranean area (Tuesday 11 July, 2.00pm – 2.45pm), giving his strategical point of view also considering the recent announcement of the AAE-1 ready for commercial use.
Sitting between the great landmasses of Europe and Africa, the Mediterranean is perfectly positioned to act as a corridor for international subsea cable communications.
Looking forward, the panel discussion will address what untapped opportunities the Med has to offer and how the region will evolve, expand and engage with the wider international subsea community.
