Giuseppe Sini, Head of Retelit International Business Unit, appointed Vice Chairman of the AAE-1 Consortium Management Committee

The Management Committee of the AAE-1 Consortium, made up of 19 global telecommunications operators, has appointed Giuseppe Sini, Head of Retelit International Business Unit, as the Vice Chairman of the AAE-1 Management Committee. The Retelit manager chaired the recently held Management Committee Meeting held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The Management Committee - the governance and decision-making body of the consortium which constructed the AAE-1 submarine cable - comprises the Top Managers of China Unicom, Djibouti Telecom, Etisalat, Global Transit, HyalRoute (CIL), Reliance Jio, Viettel Cambodia (Metfone), Mobily, Omantel, Ooredoo, Oteglobe, PCCW Global, PTCL, Retelit, Telecom Egypt, TeleYemen, TOT, VNPT and Viettel, the 19 operators financing the project.
“This appointment is a very significant recognition of Retelit’s work, coming after four years of major commitment in which we have always actively and crucially contributed to the completion and entry into service of the project” stated Giuseppe Sini, Retelit’s International Business Unit Director. “Such an appointment by members of the consortium, global operators with extensive industry experience, is a source of great pride and honour for me, but also is confirmation that the company that I represent is now recognised as a key player on the international telecommunications market”.
